Louisiana Insurance Commissioner using Gestapo Tactics

The Louisiana Department of Insurance appears to have so much money at its disposal that it has taken to buying radio advertisements to combat insurance fraud. With Governor Bobby Jindal putting a freeze on hiring recently, one wonders where the state got the money to buy advertising. That in and of itself is one of those things that just makes you say “You are kidding…?” But it gets worse!

The radio advertisements that they are running are using old Gestapo tactics straight from pre-World War II Nazi Germany. The ads discuss various forms of insurance fraud such as turning in fake receipts to keep from paying your deductible which certainly is not right, however what gets me is then the ads say IF YOU SUSPECT SOMEONE THAT YOU KNOW OF INSURANCE FRAUD PLEASE TURN THEM IN TO THE GESTAPO, er I mean, THE LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE, or something such.

Do you get the point? THEY are using state money to try to get people to turn in other people if they SUSPECT them of committing insurance fraud. What next, children if you SUSPECT your parents of committing a crime turn them in, it is your civic duty.

This is a typical example of too much government and government waste.
