Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks was demoted

Posted by admin     Category: Politics

Gregory Hicks, a former top U.S. diplomat in Libya, said he was effectively “demoted” after questioning United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice’s explanation that the deadly Benghazi attack was the result of a protest over a video.

Mr Hicks testified to members of the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that he was “stunned” and “embarrassed” upon hearing Rice blame an anti-Islam YouTube video for the assault. He said he voiced his concerns, and upon returning to the U.S. received a “blistering critique” of his management style — even though he had recently been praised by both President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

It is quite obvious that there is confusion and trouble in the ranks of the Obama Administration. Do you think he will try to find a way to blame this one on President Bush too?

Gun violence is way down

Posted by admin     Category: Politics

A new report by Pew Research (released May 7, 2013) shows that gun violence is way down from 2004 when the so-called “assault weapons ban” expired. Look at the chart below:

Gun Homicide Chart

Gun control proponents are going to hate hearing this. If the Obama administration and the liberal Democrats continue to push for more gun control legislation, it will really make a rational person wonder why these people are wasting their time, which is really “our” time and our money on such a non-issue. Studies have shown that the majority of Americans are not in favor of more gun control. I recently read in one liberal “rag” that:

“A record-high 47% of Americans also think new gun laws are necessary, as opposed to just enforcing the current laws more stringently.”

They neglected to point out that simple math dictates that 53% DID NOT think that new gun laws are necessary!

It is high time for our elected officials, the people that we sent to Washington, stop wasting our time on their own political agendas and get on to the business at hand of making our country and our interests safer and more secure. Terrorists are alive, active, and planning on attacking us all over the globe. Unemployment in the United States is way too high, as is under-employment. We have created a system that allows too many people to mooch off of everyone else, in the form of government support. It is time to force these low lifes to get to work. Our government spends way too much money, time to cut it out. Taxes are too high.

Enough already, Washington more closely resembles a market in the Middle East with everyone trying to “get one over” on the other guy than what our founders intended, which is a sane assembly of like-minded men who have gotten together to for the purpose of bettering our Nation. It is time for a change.

Reagan and Libya

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano did not just say that

Posted by admin     Category: Politics

Did Janet Napolitano really just tell terrorists that after 6 months our FBI alerts expire? I mean, come on, is our government really that naive?

First, after Seal Team Six killed Osama Bin Laden Obama immediately went on international television and told everyone that we got him. I mean, wouldn’t sound judgement dictate that we wait as long as possible, go through every computer and paper that we found in Osama’s house, go through his whole network arresting (or killing) everyone that we could find, before they even knew that Osama was dead and that we were on to them?

Then, the Obama administration continues to say that Osama Bin Laden is dead and that Al Qaeda is on the run…as if they are trying to convince themselves of this. Well, recent world events have proven that terrorism is alive and well throughout our world and that we can never let our guard down.

Now, you have Janet Napolitano telling our enemies how they may potentially slip through the cracks.

The effects of gun control

This is an interesting video about what happens after gun control legislation was enacted in Australia.

Armed Robberies increased 69%
Assaults with guns increased 28%
Gun murders increased 19%
Home invasions increased 21%

Gun control just empowers criminals and denies citizens the ability to protect themselves.
